OUR SPONSOR

This week’s sponsor is The Serial Sales Community.
Sales training doesn’t get you hired.
Everyone has access to the same thousands of hours from the greats on Youtube.
So when you’re breaking into the world of 1099 remote setting/closing,
Access + positioning is what moves the needle.
Access to opportunities that others don’t see.
You’re not finding these on LinkedIn and Indeed.
And when it comes to positioning, you need to be positioned for this specifically.
Not what you used to sell.
Real estate, tech, medical, cars, or other industries like that.
You need to be the guy who takes remote sales calls from home on Zoom.
And we’ve got that down to a science over the last 3.5 years.
If you’re looking for the most surefire way to break into the world of selling through Zoom calls at home as a contracted sales gunslinger…
And a relay race-esque structured process over the course of 1.5 months with multiple calls and check-ins with a team that’s seen it all;
Be sure to mention “Because of Sales” for a 5% discount on 6 months or lifetime access.

Sam’s sales alpha and best practices
Your prospects love iMessage. Send them iMessages.
Sam emphasizes this niche yet high‑leverage insight: the blue bubble (iMessage) isn’t just cosmetic. It taps into trust and culture in U.S. messaging. He explains how green‑bubble texts from CRMs look automated and spammy, while a blue‑bubble message from a CRM gives “real person” vibes, increasing response and show rates.
The mental shift from messaging as broadcast to messaging as personal conversation is a game changer.
Leadership must be able to “walk the walk” in a fast growing sales org
He drills deep into process and operations. Before being CRO he took calls, documented scripts, built workflows, then scaled that through his sales reps. His rule is that you should do it yourself first so you can then lead by example.
He sees operations, discipline and systemization as sales multipliers, not just charisma or closing skill. If your workflows are weak, the best closer won’t fix the pipeline.
The group chat game changer…
Sam gave an advanced pre-call tactic: group‑chat automation via SendBlue. For example, you can automate the creation a group chat with a lead + sales rep + business owner; then automate personalized voice memos, personalized video messages, customize by time of day and the sales rep.
That level of personalization + novelty through a trusted channel (blue bubble) brings a massive lift in connection rates. More texts likely isn’t the answer, a better channel is.
4 things to steal, 4 tips to implement
#1: Run the numbers ASAP
Calculate your baseline #’s: response rate, show rate, close rate w/ green SMS.
Run a pilot w/ 20 leads, message from an iPhone‑like channel as a “real person.”
Compare results after a week; look for lift in replies, appointments, and shows.
Integrate blue messaging into your CRM as the norm (if the numbers tell you to).
#2: Use blue message etiquette
Stop writing corporate-essays and signing off like and email.
When writing workflows, view in the orientation a lead would receive it
Write messages the way you’d text a friend, one short idea per message.
If it feels robotic or broadcast‑y, rewrite until it feels conversational.
#3: Automate group messages and custom voice/video
Choose a CRM segment for booked demos, leads 24 h pre‑call, etc
Create an automation: build a group chat with the lead, rep, and owner.
Pre‑record spoken content for each rep/time‑of‑day, or use Eleven Labs.
Insert the message into workflow; watch your show rates increase drastically.
#4: Understand the technical limits of iMessage vs. SMS
Understand that iMessage isn’t meant for blasts or mass‑marketing efforts.
Use it strictly for inbound, conversational, high‑intention leads.
Ensure compliance: opt‑in, privacy terms, workflow for unsubscribes, etc.
iMessage numbers can burn too. Monitor reply rates. Make changes if needed.
