OUR SPONSOR

This week’s sponsor is The Serial Sales Community.

You have the skill, we have the opportunity.

In January, we shared 966 open inbound 1099 remote sales roles.

You can view them here by date, role, OTE, and niche.

When it comes to the 1099 remote sales space… the difficult part is not closing deals. You’re selling to inbound leads. They book with you because they want what you have.

The difficult part is catching wind of these offers before others, approaching with a leg up, and running thorough due diligence before you commit to something heavily commission based.

That’s the part we help sales pros navigate.

SELLER’S SECRETS

The Pool Just Got Deeper

There's a tsunami of talented women entering sales right now. And if you're sleeping on it, you need to be careful.

Shelby Sapp went from no following to roughly $5M/month in under 13 months helping women with her remote sales training business. No head start. No existing audience. Sharp positioning, good marketing, and a team that can close. You don't build that without real skill underneath it. And she's not alone. She's just the most visible example of a much bigger shift happening right now.

If the AI threat wasn’t enough, now we’ve got a wave of pink Porsche-aspiring sales women coming for your spot!

Whether her sales program is great or just decent… doesn't matter. What matters is the signal. Hypothetically, if they're charging around $10k a head, that's roughly 500 women in a single month who wrote a real check and committed to this path. That's not curiosity. That's conviction. People who spend serious money on something work harder to make it pay off. These aren't tire kickers.

Saleswomen who get on the phone and know what they're doing tend to perform. Better than most, in a lot of cases. And it's not surprising when you look at what actually moves the needle in sales.

Women tend to listen more and talk less. They ask better questions and actually wait for the answer. They're less likely to bulldoze through an objection and more likely to understand what's underneath it. They're generally more comfortable sitting in silence after a pitch instead of nervously filling the space and talking themselves out of a deal.

And because they're not typically walking in with the same bravado a lot of guys lead with, prospects tend to let their guard down faster.

None of that is a knock. It's just that the skills most of these traits point to, patience, emotional awareness, active listening, reading subtext, are the same skills the best salespeople in any industry quietly rely on. A lot of reps have been undervaluing that stuff for years because the old model rewarded whoever made the most calls. That model is getting exposed.

Competition doesn't care how long you've been around. The rep with six years in doesn't get a pass just for showing up. Results go to whoever is sharpest, regardless of background.

If your edge is tenure, you might not have an edge.

The grind-to-coast arc still exists. You still have to put the work in before you earn the right to make it look easy. But the competition at every level is getting stiffer. The communicators are winning. The reps running on pure aggression and activity are going to feel it before they figure out why.

The pool just got deeper. Worth knowing.
