IN THIS EDITION

We had a major breakthrough as people in sales recently and the purpose of this edition is to share that with you guys.

AI isn’t taking sales jobs. Sales people who use it are.

We want to help you be a sales person who uses it.

  • The Infinity Stone Most Sales Reps Are Leaving on the Table

  • A sales rep’s dying wish vs. iOS call screening update

  • The #1 most important skill for an SDR

  • And more…

GET BETTER

Anthropic says AI is eating sales jobs. We disagree. Sales people who know how to use AI are eating the jobs of sales people who don’t. We can help you learn it.

OUR SPONSOR

This week’s sponsor is The Serial Sales Community.

You’re in sales.

There’s a chance you like your job. There’s also a chance you don’t.

If you know you’re meant for more, you should check us out.

That’s what Chris did. He was making good money in a 1099 remote closing role, but knew he could make more. For the last 2 years he’s been between $20k and $30k/mo.

Selling from home to inbound leads with contractor benefits.

^You can see a 1-1 interview we did with him through that link above.

That’s what we help people do.

Sell on their own terms.

If you’re interested in that, check out our site for more info.

(Fitting for this edition, but this site was recently made 100% with Claude code with no prior coding familiarity. Hopefully that proves our point.)

Mention “BOS” if you chat with our team and we’ll hook you up with a little discount.

SELLER’S SECRETS

The Infinity Stone Most Sales Reps Are Leaving on the Table

There's a scene early in the Avengers where the infinity stones are scattered across the universe. Each one on its own is powerful. Combined, they're unstoppable. That's kind of what's happening in sales right now, except most reps are walking around with zero stones wondering why they're losing ground on the competition

Learning to create super basic code with Claude is one of those stones. Almost nobody's picking it up.

Here's the proof. With zero coding experience, zero familiarity with how any of it works, we built a fully custom chatbot in less than two hours, now live to the public.

It pulls from 57 success interviews (20 hours of content) and puts it in the hands of prospective buyers. Ask it anything about breaking into 1099 remote closing or appointment setting and it answers based on actual experiences from people who've done it, and can also apply them to different unique user scenarios to make it most relevant to them.

No software engineer. No $500/month tool. No prior knowledge of how code works. Just Claude, a little copying and pasting, and a conversation about what we wanted to build. We also used WhisprFlow to prompt a lot of this, so didn’t even have to type much lol.

The whole thing is 100% custom. Want to add new stories? New interview clips? A different focus? Buttons? Borders? You just tell Claude what you want, copy what it gives you, paste it in. That's it. Anyone can do this.

For this chatbot, we used Claude (Sonnet 4.6) → stored the code in GitHub (free) → deployed the code on Vercel (free). Claude knows the menus of all of these tools and can tell you step-by-step how to do this to 100% completion.

What this looks like for a sales rep:

You don't need to build a chatbot. But once you understand the sandbox that exists here, the door opens wide.

A few things reps could build right now with Claude and basic copy-paste coding:

  • Custom landing pages/pre-call resources/thank you pages for leads

  • Lead magnets to collect opt-ins/share resources

  • A pipeline visualization tool to better see the data that’s important to you

  • ROI calculators for leads to toy around with

Basically anything to help you sell to people without having that “on-the-call” sales pressure.

None of this is theoretical. The only barrier is whether you're willing to spend a few hours figuring it out. Literally.

The honest version of what's coming:

That Anthropic chart making the rounds right now shows theoretical AI coverage vs. observed AI coverage by occupation. Sales barely registers on the observed side. But the theoretical coverage is high.

This gap closes. At least it has in the past.

The reps who only sell, where that's the single skill they bring, are going to feel it first. Not because AI replaces the relationship. Not because a bot is closing your enterprise deals. But because the rep next to you who can also build is outworking you in ways you don’t even understand. Their prep is faster. Their follow-up is more personal. Their pipeline is tighter.

They're doing in 20 minutes what takes you two hours.

Pick up the stone.

The reps winning going forward aren't just good on the phone. Domain expertise is one stone. Relationships are one stone. Craft is one stone. Knowing how to build lightweight tools that make you faster and sharper is becoming another one.

Thanos had all six. You don't need all six.

But you need more than one.
